Paper Quilting

2004   Began experimenting and developing the craft Paper Quilting

2008   Teaching at A White Dragon Paper Craft store Phillip, ACT.  Craft and Quilting stores in Sydney.
2010   Workshop on Paper Quilting at National Gallery of Australia. In conjunction with Historic Quilts Exhibition.
2009   Published “Paper Quilting” A handbook on paper quilting techniques.
2009 – 2013    Published over 50 Paper Quilting Patterns.   Workshops sponsored by Bernina Australia at the Craft & Sewing Shows Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne.  Stitches and Craft – Sydney and Melbourne.   Paperific Expo – Melbourne.  Papercraft Festival – Sydney and Brisbane.  Mad Quilter’s Gathering. – Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney. 2011   Paper Quilt Creations patterns nominated as one of the top 20 Innovation products at the Craft & Hobby Association Winter Show, Los Angeles, USA.
2012   Contracted to The McCall’s Pattern Company New York, USA. McCall’s prints, markets and distributes globally 34 patterns designed by Michaela Laurie of Paper Quilt Creations.
2013   Invited to exhibit at the McCall’s 150th Anniversary stand at the Craft & Hobby Association Winter Trade Show, Anaheim USA.
