This is a craft which uses all the wonderful and everchanging products all the craft companies create.

Paper Quilting is a beautiful craft which brings together a love of paper with the joys of sewing.
I began my experiments with sewing paper in 2004 after many years of working with collage and mixed media. I was often asked at the stall where I sold my work at the Old Bus Markets in Kingston in Canberra, if I would teach the craft. I began teaching at the very popular craft hub, A White Dragon in Philip, Canberra, wrote “Paper Quilting” A Handbook, developing an easy template pattern system so that everyone who wanted to create a Paper Quilt could easily do so.
I took Paper Quilt Creations to CHA, the Craft and Hobby Association show in USA 3 times and my patterns were judged as one of the top 20 craft innovations worldwide. I was then approached by the McCall’s Pattern Company, New York, who printed, marketed and distributed my patterns globally. 10 years later and I have designed over 50 patterns and developed over 10 different techniques.
One of the best aspects of Paper Quilting is that any one pattern can be in so many different ways – and in in any type of style. Change the papers, change the colours and you have a completely different look. Add embellishments. Its easy and fun for any age group. It’s time friendly and great for using up your stash of papers. I hope you will love it as much as do.
